A new European legislation known as REACH – Registration, Evaluation, and Authorisation & restriction of Chemicals (Regulation EC 1907/2006) came into force on 1st June 2007. This legislation affects any company that manufactures, imports, or uses chemical substances in Europe in quantities of one or more tonnes per year.
