The Environment Agency (EA) has changed the date for banning the land filling of gypsum waste including plasterboard.
The EA position statement clearly removes the 10% guideline value previously used to a total ban from 1st April 2009.
The original date of 1st January 2009 has been moved to help encourage recyclers to find alternative methods to dispose of their gypsum waste.
