A leading manufacturer of batteries in the UK has said that it is disappointed by the government’s delay in introducing new battery recycling regulations until 2010 and added that this will put the country at risk of missing recycling targets.
According to the Department for Business, Enterprise & Regulatory Reform (BERR), the new regulations will not come into effect for another two years – an announcement that has dismayed stakeholders in the industry.
